ABOUT ACCREDITATION

The Clinical Social Work Institute is licensed by the Education Licensing Commission of the District of Columbia to award the Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work. Far all educational institutions in the District of Columbia, this Commission reviews and awards the license every three years. The Clinical Social Work Institute’s license is scheduled for re-review in the spring of 2007. Middle States Commission on Higher Education is the accrediting body for all institutions of higher education in this geographical region. We have applied for candidacy for accreditation through this body. Our last communication from MSCHE suggested that we contact them after we receive the results of our scheduled review in spring 2007. The accreditation process is a very thorough and involved one that usually last many years. The administration at the Clinical Social Work Institute is prepared to diligently pursue this process leading to full accreditation.
