Patricia M. DeLorme, PhD, LICSW, BCD, President
Is a Clinical Social Work Practitioner and teaches Clinical Case Conference I. She received her MSW degree in 1970 from Howard University School of Social Work and her Ph.D. degree in 2003 from the National Catholic School of Social Service of the Catholic University of America. Dr. DeLorme has an extensive administrative background and has served as the President of the Metropolitan Washington DC Chapter of NASW. She has been on the faculties of Howard University School of Social Work and The National Catholic School of Social Services. Her teaching experiences include clinical theory and its application to practice and social work ethics. She has a special interest in the effect of spirituality on healing after acute and prolonged trauma.
Golnar A. Simpson, PhD, LCSW, BCD- Dean and Founding Dean
Is a Clinical Social Work Practitioner and teaches the Neuroscience courses, Psychodynamic Psychology V: Relational Theory and a variety of elective courses. She received her MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1967 and her Ph.D. from National Catholic School of Social Service in 1979. Dr. Simpson was inducted into the National Academies of Practice as a “Distinguished Practitioner” in 1995 and has served as the Chair of Social Work Academy of practice. She also has served as the President of the Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Work and the Clinical Social Work Association. She has been on the faculty of VCU School of Social Work and her teaching and writing include various aspects of clinical social work theory, practice and education. Dr. Simpson has a particular interest in the integration of neuroscience research information into social work theory and practice and lectures widely on this and other clinical social work topics at the local and national levels.

Anita, K. Bryce, PhD, LCSW, BCD, The Mary Dluhy Practice Chair
Is a Clinical Social Work Practitioner and teaches Advanced Clinical Practice I: Ego Psychology and Ethics and Advocacy. Dr Bryce received her MSW in 1976 and her PhD in Social Work in 1982 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. She is a graduate of the Baltimore-Washington Institute for Psychoanalysis in child and adult psychoanalysis and on the faculty of its analytic Training Program and serves as its current Society President. She has been on the faculties of The National Catholic School of Social Service and the George Washington University Doctor of Psychology Program. Her teaching and writing include different aspects of clinical theory, practice, mental health law, burn out, and partial hospitalization for adolescents. Dr. Bryce is a former Dean of CSWI.
Irwin Dubinsky, PhD, LICSW, BCD, Research Chair
Is a Clinical Social Work Practitioner and teaches different courses in the Research Sequence. Dr. Dubinsky received his MSW in 1989 from Yeshiva University and his PhD in 1972 from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public and International Affairs. He has had a varied career as a community organization/developer, university professor, management consultant, federal government policy officer director, and clinical social worker. He is a past President of the Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Work. His teaching and writing includes different areas of policy and program evaluation.
Aimee Nover, PhD, LICSW, BCD, Academic Courses Chair
Is a Clinical Social Work Practitioner and teaches Psychodynamic Psychology I: Ego Psychology, Clinical Case Conference II and Child Therapy courses.
Dr. Nover received her MA in 1963 from University of Rochester; MEd from University of Maryland in 1974 and her PhD from the National Catholic School of Social Service of Catholic University in 1983. She is a Training and Supervising Analyst with the Baltimore-Washington Institute for Psychoanalysis; has been on the faculties of George Washington University Doctor of Psychology Program and the National Catholic School of Social Service; and is a consultant in Child Psychiatry and Social Work at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Nover teaches and writes in the areas of clinical theory and practice and child psychotherapy.
Mr. Gabeyehu Adugna, MLS, Librarian
Gabeyehu Adugna received his MLS (Masters in Library Science) from the University of Maryland. He maintains the library’s collection and resources, provides student tutorials on library use and assists faculty and students in literature searches.
